We have all heard the term put your self in the other guys shoes. This can actually be harder than you think. Having the ability to two see two sides of an opposing idea is a mark of great intelligence. Opportunities to practice this skill are around us everywhere. Settling an argument with a roommate, dealing with a customer at work, having a political conversation, the list is long. While it is difficult to actively practice this approach the results can be tremendous. We become better humans with stronger relationships, success at work, and improved quality of life. Empathy is a great gift that we are all capable of, I challenge you to use it.
"Empathy is the starting point for creating a community and taking action. It's the impetus for creating change." -Max Carver
